एक खूबसूरत गीत "१९४७- अर्थ" फ़िल्म से...

Before 2 days, i ve seen the movie named "Mumbai Meri Jaan" (an excellent movie... must watch). as i was coming in car, co-incidently in my car stereo system the song played was "इश्वर अल्लाह तेरे जहाँमें नफरत क्यों है जंग है क्यों...." from the masterpiece movie "1947-earth"


"1947-earth" was released in 1999. Beautifully directed by genious Deepa Mehta. Aamir Khan, Rahul Khanna and Nandita Das have proved themselves in the film.




हलाकि यह फ़िल्म नॉन कॉमर्शियल आर्ट फ़िल्म थी , इसीलिए बॉक्स ऑफिस पर तहलका नही मचा सकी but जिस किसीने भी इसे देखा उसने यह फ़िल्मको बेहद पसंद किया (this movie is one of the best CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED films in the indian film history.) the film was based on Bapsi Sidwa's novel "Cracking India", published in 1991. (यह नोवेल १९९१ में अमेरिकामें publish हुई, और भारतमें १९९२ में publish हुई। This novel was originally published in 1988 in england with the title of "Ice Candy Man")


इस फ़िल्मकी एक और ख़ास बात थी.... वो था इस फ़िल्म का संगीत। ऐ आर रहमानके कुछ बेहतरीन compositions में इस फ़िल्मके गानों की गणना होती है।

As like the movie, songs also were not so popular but जिस किसीनेभी सुना, वो आज भी बार बार सुनते है। इस फ़िल्म के सारे गाने situational है । u can realise the story of the film just by listening the song and catching the lyrics.


The song i m putting here is again, one of my big favourites. beautifully beautifully composed by A.R.Rahman. heart touchy lyrics by Javed Akhtar and heartly sung by Sujata Mohan and Anuradha Shriram.


इस गाने में fretless base guitar (a type of base guitar) is used beautifully by Rahman। गानेकी शुरुआत से अंत तक ये बजता है । शुरुआत का जो music piece hai, वो ही पुरे गानेमें background में बजता है। आप सुनेंगे तो जान जायेंगे। दूसरे interlute में वीणा और पियानो का बेहतरीन combination। और उससेभी बड़ी बात है गायकी और गाने का mood. यह गाना एक समा बाँध देता है। this is on of the best lyrics written by Javed Akhtar sahab.

"Chand madham hai..." a beautiful and 'not so popular song' from LATAJI-MADAN MOHAN

The song I am putting here is one of my most favourite numbers. Lataji and Madan mohan has given so many beautiful songs. this is one of them but this song is not famous like other numbers.
the song "चाँद मद्धम है..." is from the movie "Railway platform". the movie was released in 1955 staring Sunil Dutt and Nalini Jayvant. The movie was written and directed by Ramesh Sahegal. Music was composed by Madan मोहन and songs were written by Sahir Ludhiyanavi.

This is a very soothing song, having very less instrument।

गाने के साथ साथ बजती वायोलिन, पियानो के chords और फ्लूट के कुछ pieces के अलावा इस गाने में लताजीकी गायकी और दिल से निकली हुई आवाज़ ही preference में है ।

यह गाना राग भीमपलासी पर आधारित है । मदन मोहनजी के गाने बहुत मीठे होते है and this is not an exception. Lataji has sung her level best here. इस गाने में कोई हरकत मुरकी नही है पर बिल्कुल सादगी से पुरे, पुरे दिल से गाना गया है जो दिलको छू जाता है।

बात करे गाने के बोल की.... साहिर लुधियानवी साहब ने कमाल कर दिया है गाना लिख कर । हर एक लाइन बेहद खूबसूरत है। यह ग़ज़ल उर्दू गज़लों की कुछ चुनंदा गज़लोंमें से एक है और इसे उतने ही खुबसूरत अंदाज़ से निभाया है लताजी ने।
तो लीजिये सुनिए ये सुंदर गीत.

A beautiful song from the movie BLACK

The first song i m putting is one of my very favourite songs from a very very nice movie 'BLACK'। Unfortunately this song was not included into the movie.

the song title is "हां... मैने छू कर देखा है..."

Beautifully sung by Gayatri aiyar (wife of famous singer Kunal Ganjawala). Gayatri Iyer is an I.I.M Graduate from Lucknow. उन्हों ने बहुत कम गाने गाये है। She was there as a playback singer in Bride & prejudice, Salaam-namaste (my dil goes...), Bhoot, Dhoom etc. films. but for me, she gave her best performance in Black.

This song is composed by Monti Sharma। हमने मोंटी शर्मा का जादू साँवरिया में देखा but he has composed this track yrs back. still one of the best compositions in the Indian film history.He has composed background score of SLB'S Devdas. u ll get more of his music in 2008 in the coming films i.e. Chamku,Heroes, Right ya wrong, 26 July at barista, etc।

Now coming to the lyricist. Prasoon Joshi. One of the most beautiful songs written by him. इस गाने के तीन अंतरे में वो पुरी फ़िल्म की कहानी कह देते है । Prasoon Joshi is indeed one of the most beautiful lyricist in the industry today। his best works can be heard in the films like TZP, Phir milenge, Rang De Basanti (Prasoon has also written the dialogues of RDB.), Fanna etc.

so now listen to this track. While listening pls listen carefully to the 3rd part and 4th part (गाने के पीछे से आती इंस्ट्रुमेंट्स की आवाजे ) u ll realise the beauty of the song. and yes... यदि आप जल्दी में है तो कृपया इसे मत सुने। यह गाना शान्ति से बैठ के सुनने लायक है ।
